Those Allegro MTB's were produced in Japan for Cap's, and are above average in quality. I have a frameset which is nicely brazed waiting to be built.

That seems crazy high for 1990's mtn bike, despite the drop bars. I think I would be more inclined to put my money towards this bike which is selling for $500 in Hamilton. Were these good bikes and what did they sell for new? I've also found another in celeste which would be more appealing to me. Helmet is included!

Rockcombo wasn't a mountain bike exactly, I think, and they came with the drop bars. I did read somewhere on there only 500 were made, they weren't quite sure what to make of it, and the quality was meh. Kind of sounds like an early gravel bike to me.

Rock Combo is pretty darned rare. All those Bianchis from that era are nice, I have a '90 Sika with the Logic frame, nice bike.

Probably posting more for the rarity this side of the Atlantic.

Looks like a triple converted to SS by just removing the shifter. Does have the cool lock (unsure about key), giant lamp and generator (unsure of condition as not mentioned) and still has the Dutch pant protector

Ok tnxs. If that mountain bike were closer I'd give him $30 for it (assuming it fit). BTW, this Allegro popped up in the sister version of this thread. Not the same company I know, but an interesting coincidence.

I've read that the Sekai 2500 gets panned here on BF, but this one has a chain hanger / separate derailleur hanger, forged dropouts with a setscrew feature. It can't be all that bad.
