Local online classified listing service (not Craigslist) delivered these last week:
2002 Trek Fuel 100
And a 2009 Trek 820 WSD:
The 820 is like new; just needs some air in the tires and a good polish/tune. The Fuel needs a little more. Bought with the intention of reselling both in the spring but I may want to ride the Fuel a bit before I decide. Paid $50 each. I think I did ok

Some unusual and very nice finds while out and about today for lunch. Unexpected to say the least - As I commented to a friend, 'Best lunch break ever'.

All of it at one of the the co-ops here. I was working Saturday and took time off for lunch, I've been needing some Weinmann 750's to finish a project and was debating whether or not to pay a visit to dig through the parts bins as well as renew my membership. I finally got off my rear and went and glad I did - a matter of perfect timing, usually there's not much there and I happened to show up at just the right time. I made a sizable donation in addition to my membership fee for this, it was only fair. And I already have an installation candidate for the deltas.

Neighbor was literally throwing these in a dumpster.

Trash Day
On my morning walk last trash day I saved this Iron Horse. Looks like I have a winter project.

Popped on offerup. Looks like it might have a front collision, fork rake looks off compared to my other one and there's a irregularity to the tt/ht junction. All the better to harvest....
Newbie
1990-ish? Bianchi Advantage
I picked this one up for free last week. It is VERY dirty and the handlebar is rusted beyond saving - fortunately I have another on a parts bike that will fit just fine. The bike has Suntour Xpress shifters which are not only stuck but will require those special "side barrel" derailleur cables (since found). I have actually been looking for a bike like this for myself - I think with some elbow and other types of grease it will clean up well.
It also "came with" an equally dirty 24" box store MTB. My first inclination is to try cleaning it up at some point and then donating it to a co-op.
New rehab project in the queue.
Handlebars definitely need to be replaced.

You can stretch the spring out quite a bit on these to get there, they will come loose with a light tug on a hook, then reseat with a good compression.

Not quite saved from the dump but for $40, I couldn't turn down this sweet late 70s Peugeot UO 10. It's my size. It's also pretty much all original and the paint is in great shape. My goal is to get it running while spending less money fixing it up than I paid for it! That may be hard to do if I have to buy new tires for it,
WV is not flat..
So this came home with me today. 1985 Ross Signature 294S full Campy and all original even down to the Campy pedals and straps. Should clean up nicely.
