1972 Motobecane Grand Record - Yellow!
Hey there everyone!
Today I am offering my all* original 1972 Motobecane Grand Record, finished the in beautiful and somewhat rare Yellow and Black colorway. Here is the components list:
-Reynolds 531 tubing with Nervex Lugs
-Campagnolo dropouts
-27 Weinmann Rims laced to Normandy Lux Comp Hubs
-Campagnolo Nuovo Record Front and Rear Derailleurs
-Campagnolo Downtube Shifters
-Campagnolo bottom bracket cable guide
-Stronglight Crankset
-Universal GT brakes
-Brooks Saddle (amazing condition)
-Kenda Tires
TT 59cm
ST 60cm
Since taking these photos, I have replaced the hoods with new replicas, and removed the bar tape. upon doing so, I will note that the right brake lever is cracked from age.
Asking $650 plus shipping. I imagine shipping within the US will be around $100-$120.
Thank you!

Very pretty and great photos. Mine is the black and red and a little later than yours. Great bike and good luck with the sale.

2nd on the kudos - nice specimen. I have the black/red '74 model, one of my favorite steeds. I like the background scenery - at first I thought those might be icebergs in the distance, and with the kind of weather we've had lately that wouldn't surprise me. GLWTS!

Thank you! enjoy riding! If this doesn't sell, I am thinking of throwing some modern-ish components and making this my daily. The geometry seems to fit me perfectly on this bike.

Thank you! I felt like a beach setting went perfectly with this bike. I agree with you, in that this is one of my favorites in my lineup...If it doesnt sell soon im most likely going to just make it my daily.

I have the same year in silver and it became my 650b. It took the conversion very easily, but for the rear brake reach. Great daily rider with the shorter top tube.
