I have no idea what fair market value for this might be, but thought it was pretty cool and worth sharing despite the high price tag.

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/bik...319284016.html

This original unrestored antique Bianchi bike is extremely rare ! I have looked for many years, I have never seen one as complete and with original paint , decals , parts and aluminum fenders intact. This bike has been kept in dry storage for decades

The overall consistency of the patina of the paint and chrome underscores its authenticity.

I beleive this is original paint and decals. See rear fender decal photo , and close up photo showing how a new sticker that slightly resembles the original faded one.. . Also note that the paint behind and around the partly damaged gold seat tube decal is identical. The paint under the gold decal chips matches the exact shade as the rest of the frame. I say this because this Celeste green color is exactly like other 1930s Bianchis

Many color variations have appeared through the years at Bianchi. The nicks on the paint look to me like nicks on original thick baked factory paint . The head tube decal and faded red paint resembles other Bianchi's I have seen from this era. They originally hand painted the red head tube on all these bikes, then applied the head tube decal. I am sure This is an original decal, all this appears to be the original paint.

The chips on the paint , and Faint cracks in the paint finish resemble an 85 year bike. The very small front fender looks to be the only repainted part.

in my opinion. If the bike was ever factory repainted with hot baked enamel they could not have achieved the perfect color match on fenders and Frame and retained the old decals , and faded red head tube paint you see on other 1930s Bianchi’s and why would it be done on a rust free bike with all the rust free original parts? There is also faded red detailing at top of seat at serial no, and painted indents on Chain stay ... Any comments are welcome.

Vittoria Margharita gear changer , Knob on lever controls the chain flipper and then moving the arm tensions the chain after shifting .

Seat tube oiler - Oil can be put in the seat tube at the filler plug and the spout is turned so as to oil the chain. Think of 1934 Italian dirt road racing heroes, and that chain oiling on the go would be a racing advantage !

In 1920s changing gears meant stopping and removing the rear wheel and flipping it around to use a different size cog. But in early 1930s, the new Vittoria Margheritta gear system was released, which used a sprung tension arm, mounted on the chainstay and placed the striking fork above the chainstay, so requiring back-pedalling to change gear. Alfredo Binda had used the Vittoria Margherita system when he won the World championship in Rome in the fall of 1932 and many pros mounted the system on their bikes for the 1933 season. The Tour forbade the use of derailleurs until 1937. But unlike the Tour, the Giro d’Italia allowed their use before.

With this extremelly rare milestone of cycling history, This is a great offer to bike collectors worldwide – this Bianchi Saetta,Bovet (No.700306 ), dates back to around 1934, thanks to special Bianchi register. Extraordinary details on the frame braze ons , internal seat tube chain oiler and seat post clamp with serial number behind makes you see how Edoardo Bianchi used his trained skills as a medical tool engineer, as a starting point to create the legendary Bianchi bicycle history .

Equiped with original ( optional when new ) Vittoria Margheritta – Tipo Giro di Francia gear system, original Bianchi cranks, Saddle ,seatpost ,hubs , wooden rims and special Universal brakes- which were made to work with these original fenders, which , it is very rare to see them intact with the original Bianchi decal on the rear fender-( Please see my detail photo) . Bike has the original wheel levers on front and rear , and the especially unique beveled type that only fit with this particular original front fork. ,

This has the original type Universal 1936 patent 361666 brake set , including brake levers With NOS patent 1936 Vittoria rubber hoods 3626 These rubber hoods are extremely rare to be seen in like new condition

This has the top of the top components from mid 1930s

From Treccani Italy :

This bicycle, model E.Bianchi 248 "Bovet", was destined for road racing. Its characteristics were avant-garde for its time, starting from the special extra light construction. It was equipped with wooden rims, tubular tires, aluminum mudguards, double sprocket, Bianchi racing pedals, wing nuts (for quick gear shifting), flexible transmission brakes, oil tube chain oiler. The painting of the model in this image, here by kind permission of the Associazione Registro Storico Cicli, is in the typical light blue Bianchi.

With this milestone bike you can have an incredible experience and see how cycling heroes rode back in the golden era of cycling history or just to get a lot of attention at all historic cycling events. Very special bike for any collector or museum.

Top tube 58cm center to center Seat tube 57 cm center to top . Bianchi Saddle. old Wood rims, old water bottle cage and bottle.

This bike rides well and the gears shift fine . Matching vintage wood rims. Tubular tires hold air and in good cond. Vintage Bianchi Santini XL wool jersey included with bike . Bike could be cleaned and detailed, but I have enjoyed owning and occasionally riding it as it is.

Thanks for looking, I welcome any helpful comments , or information about these early Bianchi race bikes .I would like to learn more about this to pass on to the new buyer.

NASHBAR TOURE MT Touring w/canti's

Not really my wheelhouse but I suspect this is an excellent rider, specimen, version, whatever, etc.

Maybe a bit overpriced? Seems to be in good shape.

Not sure FMV for this but I've heard good things about these frames. (Un)fortunately it seems a bit large for me

Cannondale ST600

Looks fairly decent and at $270 seems a good deal. Looks like a dent on the chainstay though; fatal? Maybe I'll go look at it anyway and get a size measurement for y'all.

It's dimpled for crank arm clearance. I wouldn't hesitate to pay $270 for one of these if you're lookin for one.

Raleigh-sonic International?

This is one of the frames Raleigh had made in Japan just before the RCCA models in 1982-3. Sold as bare frames. Totally worth it.
