Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Huh. Even in 1978, Superman couldn't find a place to change.

And, just for your info, I can drive very well and fast.

So today I reached the decision The Ritchey needs a power meter. Much to my despair no one makes an Ultegra 6500 power meter. I don’t know why classy can’t have tech. 4iii won’t add one to my arm either.

1,000 dollars on pedals is out of the question.

So the driver in question could have been you, but mostly likely it wasn’t because of the ******ness of the car.

Couldn't have been me since I don't own a 911.

And, I was not in California recently.

Nah, it's not one of those. This kind. Usually I can hit at least 25 at the bottom, which helps a lot going up the other side. This time, I had to slow to 12 mph so as not to run up his Porsche Ass.

This is why I don't have a power meter.

I was thinking of the kind where you will bottom out if going too fast in the car.

Gotcha. I realize "dip" is rather nonspecific. I don't have a better name for it.

Because it's ******g old, pre-dates crank-arm power meters by a decade and is of a construction type that's different than what the strain gauges are configured for?

Apples-to-oranges - you can get single-sided power meter pedals for considerably less than $1k.

Can I get one pedal for around 260.00 dollars?

Last year, I saw the Assioma Favero Uno on sale for $254. I dawdled. I missed it. Now it's nearly twice that.

Interesting. Yeah, you get the distance and rough direction from your previous guess. I like it. Had to cheat today to even get it in 6 while experimenting to figure out the rules.

I would absolutely drive a Boxster and let the haters hate, but I don't understand the 911 Cabrio, Ferrari convertibles, or all of that nonsense. If the car is fast, make it a fixed-roof. If it's a convertible, not bothering with top-end go-fast bits. I really don't get it.

Boxster is fine and are loads of fun. They are what they were designed to be. I was specifically referring to the 911.

Cab 911s are all over the place, don't hold value, and are not good as performance cars. They are gold chains and silk sweater cars. They are not "wear a helmet" cars. Only a coupe can be a real 911. IMHO as a past owner.

I'm not aware of any racing class that has ever included 911 Cabriolets.
