That certainly looks like you're pretty aero riding that one. 
I swapped the trekking bar back in to mine, in case I forgot to mention above... I don't see it anyway, so here it is. I rode it like this today, and it seemed fine, but will take some getting used to, as I've never ridden with this type of bar before. Ooh, and I hadn't properly attached the seatbag yet. I didn't realize how goofy it'd look in the photo... D'OH!
I also swapped out the new-but-too-short chain with another new chain, properly sized. I didn't want an unintentional cross-chaining to cause the bike to disappear out from under me... as it'd lock the drive up tight if I tried.

What qualifies as vintage?
Great thread. Big fan. Generally, what qualifies for vintage? In cars, I can get a vintage plate at 25 years. So... can I assume mid-90s and earlier? Thanks and loving this thread.

WV is not flat..
Have a chance to pick up this R900. Cannot get a drive side picture and not having much luck finding what year they put Campy on this model. Any help on a year for this one?

Looks like a '97 R900, but that blue wasn't offered in the states, it was on the R800 (Galaxy Blue,) and they had Ultegra groups on them from the factory. Actually, the stem was on the R900 in '98 according to the catalogs at Vintage Cannondale 1997 Vintage Cannondale catalog. I believe it's a frame that had some things installed/updated. Derailleurs are missing so the Campag brake/shifters might have been additions later on. Best wishes on the search for the model year.

Mine... bit of a mixed bag but a lovely ride. I think I have decoded the numbers correctly. October ‘93 model. That’s all I have... bit of a Cannondale beginner. I just call it my ‘new bike’, it being the youngest in the fleet!😁

Picked up this R900, 93?, in good shape. The catalog shows a direct mount front derailleur. This was a clamp on.
How do these aluminum forks holdup? Anyone use the 1 1/4 to 1 1/8 adapter headset?

I finally landed a vintage ST in my size for a good price. Here is my 1987 Cannondale ST400. Needs a new bottom bracket and most likely new front hub bearings, but that is pretty minor stuff.

Ha, I looked for this thread a few days back, & couldn't find it. This is my '95 (November '94-built frame) Killer V 500. It's a 21" frame, but feels even bigger somehow. I'm loving it, but need to adjust those Force 40s in the back better. 😎
