Here's mineI sold the Tequesta last year after building it several different ways, the guy put an electric motor on it.
Here's the last revision just before I sold it. If it had only been my size...... at least I have the Karakoram but the paint is nowhere near as nice as the Tequesta. It was damn near flawless.

Tbh I love my specialized Hardrock ultra... But man this dang GT! Tequesta must mean smile machine! Tbh I don't know the weight of my spec, but the GT feels lighter, stiffer, more responsive than I remember the Hardrock ever being. They are the same size but man wanna talk apples to oranges!

Hi all, greetings from Uruguay, i'm posting some pics of my recent GT bikes. First my 98 Talera (Arrowhead 7005 alluminum frames, Promax V-brakes, Shimano Tourney drivetrain, Suntour SR11 cranks, sold as Talera in South American and Asia). Pretty nice bike, but i sold it a couple months ago.
And then, bought some days ago, my full original (except tyres) Tequesta, full STX. Any idea on what year it was made?

Very nice! That Tequesta looks just like my 1995 model, which my wife surprised me with on my birthday... in 1995. Ive been riding it ever since, off-road and on. Just a few years ago I had the frame stripped and painted and I converted it into a nice 700c gravel/road bike... I have fine tuned and changed some things since the photo (crankset, saddle, stem) but you get the idea.

I just got my first triple triangle. I can't post pics, but will break an imgur link in two here, and you can reconstruct for pics (or just go to imgur and use this extension NWdf6zw)..

Zap refers to the electronic MAVIC ZAP component group. After 1994, there was some periodic fluctuation to the hierarchy with some models being discontinued and some models being added. We'd have to know the version and model year of your Edge to provide a definitive hierarchy.

Single Speed Triple Triangle?
Hi, guys! I just bought a very clean, all original 1995 GT Talera with the intention of converting it to single speed. Have any of you done this before with a GT Triple Triangle bike? I'm thinking a 42x17 or 44x17 setup will work fine for the mostly flat rail-to-trail riding I plan to do. I'm on a fairly tight budget, but would still like to acquire a dedicated SS crankset—new or used—rather than attempt to jury-rig something using the original Alivio crankset. If anyone has suggestions regarding a good quality, moderately priced SS crankset, I'd appreciate hearing them. Thanks much!

Forgot to post the final pics for my GT Palomar rebuild. Never owned GT before but fell in love with the geometry and ride so decided to show some love.
I had actually gone through a costly and time consuming paint scheme with fades and mask effects. I was going for kind of an African safari theme with cheetah spots and zebra stripes. Instead I got Barbie Under The Sea / Walmart girls bike. BLECCHH. Plus the masks edges bugged the crap out of me. So started over with paint stripping, sanding and repainting to a solid shade of Pepto-Bismol pink. Turned out decent although 4 cans of clearcoat usually makes anything look shiny. All in about 10 cans of Montana Gold brand, 2 cans of etching primer and 6 weekends. Learned a lot, spent a lot.
BEFORE - Little rusty but sound
Stage 1 gold and blue fade, mask
Stage 2 pink and purple fade, mask removed. Looks like a Walmart girls bike!
AFTER - GT Paterno Because damnit I earned it!

Vinyl cutouts for the chainguard and seattube. Sealed in with lots of clearcoat.

I'm still leaning towards an old stock ('91) frame built up in 1993 but that would assume that GT changed the wheel specs shortly after the catalogue was released. Unfortunately, with GT now being owned by Dorel, I doubt you'd get an answer out of them.

I've posted my 96' Zaskar before but it has seen some updates recently. Syncros Cattlehead (I paid $5 on FB marketplace if you can believe it) new decals for the stem were $15 though, added the more modern Race Face Deuce cranks as again, they were priced very low and never used, I also went to a flat bar, other than that it's the same great Zaskar a friend gifted me a few years ago which had already received much work including polishing, decals, etc, etc, yep, the Bomber lifts the front end and a rigid fork would make it handle better. But I love the Bomber and this Zaskar is my only 90s MTB with front suspension so might was will keep it right?

A friend gave me this. This photo is after I got all the cobwebs off. It just sits in the side garage waiting for its day to be fixed up. This thread makes me dream of turning it into something great but I don't know if I even want to tackle a big project like that.
