Is this something that I should worry about?

i have been seeing more and more of these painted in bike lanes and on the hard shoulder. even on some hard climbs which surprised me. this one is going up Geiger in Reno. maybe started sometime last year. anyone know what this means? most are like this but one other looks to have swept back wings. they look peaceful but should i be worried about some bird apocalypse or something?

It looks to me like someone has marked a route for a group to follow.

To some cultures, it's the symbol of justice. People are either be the source of injustice, or work for a morally corrupt society, turns a blind eye to injustice, embracing ignorance or even religion so not to ruin their comfortable lives and feel good about themselves, then it would seem the "bird of justice" won't be friendly to humanity and probably even wishing the apocalypse to humanity!

If you find Lions marked on the road in Portland... DO NOT FOLLOW THEM!!!

They'll lead to the most 20% hill climbs you can imagine!!! Straight up, then down, then right back up.

If your trail markings were route markings, I'd anticipate some kind of directional indicator associated with them.

If they are sporadic, perhaps someone's "tag". "Bob Was Here".

It also means a Peugeot car will sometimes drive on the bike lane or the shoulder. So you need to be on the lookout for Peugeot cars and ready to bailout from the lane if you see one!

'Birds are reptiles with feathers and wings,' according to my biology 1 professor, at least in terms of physiology. I think he might have followed that up with, 'Or reptiles are birds without wings.'

Yes, if you ever see that again somewhere just turn around and move away as fast as you can and never go back

That is one complex Dan Henry.

BITD before GPS and all the things, I painted many a Dan Henry. My strategy was paint 'em fast and get down the road before the locals came out and asked what I was up to. Nothing good could come of that conversation.

That sucker took at least a minute

Reminds me of the time BITD when the locals came out and painted over the Dan Henrys with black paint the night before an event. The mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Not to worry.
A Peugeot will break down long before it could hurt anyone.

Peugeot bicycles also used the lion logo, so you might find yourself in a Peugeot-only lane.
