Life Beyond the Darkside
It's been quite some time since I last visited this trail network. So why not make it a field trip Friday visit and have some fun. I knew the trails would be slow and soft from all the rain we have been having which made climbing tough. The one climb that is always a big challenge even when dry just ate me today. The top brings you into a giant sandpit which is better suited for my fat bike. Overall, it was a tad over three hours of fun, and just think in a few months and this will be an icy snowfest full of fun.

thank you for sharing. climbing a narrow trail w/ roots, etc are a challenge for me. I sometimes have to stop on a certain nemesis hill near me. sometimes I stop even tho I know I can push harder. I remind myself, I am "of the age" where I could die suddenly & unexpectedly. since I've been doing that particular hill regularly now the past 3 years, I no longer stop, but I remember stopping to settle my breathing. I have wondered, if I was suffering a heart attack, could I manage to call 911 on my cell & explain where I was
