Sqealing Tiagra 4700 shifter

I have got a sqeal on left shifter, (front), which appears when I release the handle. Shifting otherwise works fine. Maybe I should loob something?

You can see the video here https://youtube.com/shorts/HazysYr9vMs?feature=share

I thought you must have been nuts before I looked at your vid. But yeah, it makes a squeak.

I'd check for a frayed cable inside the STI rubbing and making that sound. Though I've never known a frayed cable inside them to do that. But I have a over active imagination and can definitely imagine that.

If you do check for a frayed cable, then might just be a good time to replace it anyway since you have to disconnect it from the DR to check it adequately. They aren't meant to be user-serviceable for much other than cable replacement. So if it's not the cable frayed, spray some light lube up in it.

+1 ^^^^ Had basically the same thing happen to some 6600 Ultegra STI's and just needed some lube in the internals and any moving parts of the shifter.
