Next time, consider Misquamicut Beach and Narragansett, Rhode Island. They are just a little further and will give you bragging rights for having crossed the state line!

EDIT (post 2021 ride): Also consider Watch Hill, Rhode Island, a nice little beach town and a great place to stop for lunch and reflection.
