I found the corner, which is actually TWO lefts in quick succession - there's a steep drop off, then the first turn, which is simultaneously 1) descending, 2) severely off camber, and 3) decreasing radius. You get through it, straighten up, and there's ANOTHER one just like it. The rest of the descent isn't too bad, but after those turns I took the rest pretty gently. I was glad to be riding the Canyon with the disc brakes, but I have ridden it before with just dual pivots and managed not to kill myself.

fwiw I drive "like a grandma" most of the time. I had a neighbor try to pass me on our street as I was going less than the speed limit (25).
I stay out of the fast lane when the freeways are open. I'm only willing to go 70-75 (speed limit is 65) when lots of drivers are doing 75-80 and some are at 80+. These speeds make for some horrific crashes.

Mine drove a 53 Dodge then traded it in for a 69 Valiant. Low miles on both. The one in Scotland didn't drive, but my Grandfather there drove a Mini panel. Grandfather here drove a tandem dump until he didn't feel like it anymore.

My flow in the wood shop has become quite good. Not fast by any stretch, but the flow is good. The bench still gets cluttered but cleans up quickly. There's a mortise marked out and waiting to be chopped as we speak.
In fact it's the wood shop that's keeping me off the bike. I'd rather be in there. I'm replacing our six worn out dining room chairs one by one. It is hoped that the sixth will go faster and more smoothly than the first.
