Pretty early Fat. It was listed last summer... I guess it didn't sell..

https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/bi...328217759.html

1984 FAT CHANCE, 19" Frame - $1,200 (Acton)

1984 Fat Chance by Fat City Cycles, Inc. This is a very early one with a low two-digit serial number (84 XX). It came equipped with black Win bullmoose bars, Magura Shorty brake levers, Shimano M700 XT Dearhead group. The early ones were fabricated with a narrow seatpost collar accepting the SR LaPrade BMX style 22.2mm seatpost. Avocet leather saddle, Ukai 26x2.125 black anodized Speedline rims (super rare) with Ritchey tires. This bike roamed the green mountains of Vermont before I acquired it. It has the proper patina. This one is for the collector. Please leave a name and number if interested.

Thanks for the tip. I picked this one up, and quite a lot of crust came off with 5 minutes of WD40. She threw in her old Silca floor pump too.

Vintage NOS Olmo Steel Frame - Nice! - $175 (Wakefield)

Vintage Olmo steel frame bought directly from the Olmo factory/store in Celle Ligure decades ago, but stored and never built up. The decals went missing over the years (Olmo sold some frames without them should you want to put your team or store name on instead), but are readily available online if desired. The frame measure about 54cm square (both seat and top tubes measured center to center), and thus is a medium size frame. With a wonderful color, lots of chrome and no shifter braze-ons, it would make a sleek single speed/fixed gear. Or could be stretched for modern components. Very nice frame for only $175.
Gotta bump this one for another look. It's real purdy!

FYI, there's a thread in General where a person will be selling an 87 Panasonic DX-6000. Hopefully a mod will move it to C & V.

Edit: It was moved to Appraisals.

quite a score - particularly curious about that (aftermarket?) extension to the cage of the Cyclone FD, presumably to give it the range for a touring triple scenario.

That was an actual SunTour option for the cyclone front derailleur.

VeloBase.com - Component: SunTour Cyclone (with no cable housing stop; with wide cage extension added)

Wheels need truing. Inner tubes are fine. Front wheel is so bad that it might need to be replaced. Good brakes, chain isn't rusty.

Obviously larger than 57cm, and at $280 maybe priced a bit high (maybe not) considering condition - but if I were in the area I'd feel compelled to go take a look and perhaps negotiate or just get it...

If you're in the Milwaukee area this may be worth a look. No DS picture, chrome looks a bit iffy. But interesting. $800.

Yes, I was put off by the components as well, this one would seem to demand Campagnolo. In my mind the ask is a stretch but I'm not a Bianchi expert and someone else may have other ideas...

Gitane Tour de France on Ebay

This has been on ebay for a long time, most likely because of the excessive shipping charge. Looks to be a 1973 model. Local pickup might make it worth pursuing. It's a project bike but, except for the Cyclone RD, appears to have original components.

Gitane TdF (1973?)
