Cool! My shot was seconds before he took off. They've usually been camera shy when I'm trying to get a pic.

The highlight was this team. Most of them are from the UK, and all are disabled in some way. And they all rock.

The guy in the handcycle was digging the attention from the Brazilian support team. Can't say that I blame him!

Hard to believe I was lucky enough to do this myself 4 years ago. It seems like yesterday ...

Saturday I watched a few teams depart, then "crashed" the ride to where I was parked at the Santa Fe Avenue end of the SLR trail. Tried to grab a pull on two of the teams that passed me. Managed to stick with one of them for nearly a mile. Stopped at Buchannan Park as I saw

some of the support vehicle parked there. Got a picture of this one. Great team name.

When I arrived at what I thought would be my last covered bridge in Vermont I found this.

After I got home I did some research. Turns out that last year a snowmobile broke down on the bridge and caught fire. I operators tried to put out the fire with snow, but it spread to the bridge. The bridge became unstable and eventually collapsed into the Missisquoi River.

This is what it had looked like. Built in 1910.

Telegraph Pass in South Mountain Park

Every fourth Sunday the park has "Silent Sunday". They close most of the roads to auto traffic. I rode to Telegraph Pass, then hiked a quarter mile to the National Trail Lookout above the pass.

If you had the full resolution pic, and knew where to look, you could tell where my bike is locked up on the guardrail.

Looking south from the pass.

There were a few others at the pass

Shared the lookout with this one.

Sure nice to be near the coast when the heat is on. This is taken from the Wayfarer's Chapel (the Glass Church) on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

It`s been Really hot. So, yesterday I took off for a ride at 4:00AM. I rode down to the Lake Michigan shoreline in Milwaukee.
Watched the sunrise, then rode along the lake for miles.

Is there a bike path or car free road on the shore?

It`s a bike path.

It runs through many parks. Sometimes you`re just off the shore, sometimes you`re in a park on a bluff off shore.

That pic with my bike in it was taken in park on the shoreline. It had a large pier on the lake. my bike was on the pier.
'

In this pic, the lake was about 20 feet on my left.
