I never liked having people pump my gas, and always avoided filling up in NJ. Not that it was a problem, we only rented cars occasionally and, if it wasn't running errands in NYC, it was to drive down 95 to VA. On the way out, I just wanted to get as many miles behind me as quickly as possible and on the way back, we just wanted to get back home, so there were no non-emergency stops in NJ (the food and bathrooms off the turnpike weren't exactly compelling attractions, either).

I would get gas in NJ since for a couple of years they moved my office over there. Was over there last week. Per/gallon price was nearly $0.50 lower. Much of the price difference is going to disappear now that NJ has upped the gas tax. By the time I get done tipping the attendant a couple of bucks (Yes. I tip gas pumpers.) there may not be much savings at all. That's o.k. I don't drive much. A little over 2,000 miles in the last three months, many of which were put on during one long weekend up to the Delaware Water Gap.
BTW...They have re-done all the turnpike rest stops. There are not nearly as bad as they used to be. I remember stopping at the Vince Lombardi rest stop during July 4th weekend of '97. It was disgusting.

We would normally hit one of the two rest stop pavilions in MD - a good half-way-ish point for the journey and usually pretty well-kept. Food wasn't special, but better than the hours-old Whoppers they sold in NJ.

Regarding that (Strava newb) I set the preferences so it's supposed to blur out the start/end location, but on the download (that I see) it shows them. Is that just visible to me? Or does everyone see it?

You see the exact beginning/ending everyone else sees a general area, but I'm pretty sure you began and ended about a block from Weigels and live somewhere in the middle of Fox Lonas Rd between Racquet Club Way and some road that Strava isn't putting the name on.

Strava seems to set a uniform radius, so it's not impossible to triangulate, 'specially when leaving/returning from different directions, but at least it's not blatantly pin-pointing your house.

I did a fairly long MTB ride last night. Did not beat the sunset. Nothing creepier than single tracking MTB deep in the woods in pitch black darkness, where even your 700 lumen light only lights 10' in front of you.
Also, I think my old garmin chest strap has gone flaky. Last few rides it's been glitching showing HR that is not reasonable for me. Like when I was coasting downhill to the trailhead last night it was saying my HR was 248. Yeah, that's not possible. Other than this it's been showing short bursts over 200 (like for a second or two). I changed the battery out after seeing the first one, but last night's ride was pretty whack even with a new battery.
