Smoothie
The latest setup on my Soma Smoothie. The fork is a Soma touring style, cannot remember which model. I got red because it was on Ebay for $60 less than Soma's price. I mounted small, on the light side, front and rear racks and bags. Switched tires to 27mm Vittoria Open Pave clinchers and latex tube. The ride is even smoother now. I needed the racks and bags for storage for taking off or putting on clothes layers, as needed. I have a set of fenders I will be mounting soon.

I have over 2000 miles on this bike since I finished building it back in May. I think it is the most comfortable, smooth riding bike I have ever owned. The weight is on the low side for what it is.

I'm not sure if I will get this done in December so thought I'd show it half-finished. This is a early-mid 80's Spectrum with double water bottle mounts but above bottom bracket cable routings. I picked this up in a swap with a fellow forum member. I was looking for a daily rider which will be basically a resto mod with modern part. I the parts will be early 10 speed Centaur and Chorus. The beauty of this frame is it's large size and short top tube. I'm 6'2" with really long legs and short torso so this thing should really be good for my aging body's need for bars closer to level. These are parts I had on hand for the most part, I don't like this seat post and am torn between full black and silver. That goes for the water bottle cages and head set too. I have these wheels along with a pair of silver rimed wheels in a more traditional style rim. Also debating with myself on bar tape, thinking keeping in black but wondering if a splash of color would be good. I've always loved the Turbo saddles but it is between this one or a Flite. Really looking forward to finishing this thing up with new cables and getting out on the road.

2020 Orbea Avant M30 - stock colour scheme
Would've liked the name/detailing in stealth gray but that would have had to be a custom order and more expensive
