Please school me on thru axles...
before money is wasted. I was looking for some kind of "tool free" lever thru axle set for my All City. Just wanna make wheel swaps a little bit easier. You'd think this would be a cheap, simple and readily avail thing, but apparently it's not. I found these on eBay advertised as for a BMC but they have the right spacing?

Thanks. But I think the closest thing to what I want is the Paul’s Set N’ Forget which are insanely expensive and not even in stock anywhere. Can't see splurging on them just for the minor convenience of not having to carry a 6mm wrench.

There's also DT Swiss RWS. For Thru Axles you need to make sure the axle length, thread pitch, and thread length are compatible with your frameset.

For the rear, these are the specs from the All City website -Ø12 x 167mm , TP=1.5, TL=12. What that means is you need a 12mm thru axle with a 1.5mm thread pitch, 167mm overall length and at least 12mm of thread length on the end of the axle.
The ebay ones in your link are 1mm thread pitch and there is no indication of the overall length.
167mm overall is an oddball length that falls between the usual 142(163-4mm) and 148(170+mm) axles. You may have to check to see how much of that 12mm thread length is actually being used, so you could go with a longer axle and not run out of thread.

They are not very expensive, and they work well.
Though I don't see the problem in simply carrying an appropriately-sized hex wrench. Takes up almost no space, weighs almost nothing.
