A bike flipper has this for sale near me, it is vary nice condition , don't look like it has had much use. What is it worth? This is the only photo I have it is a 531 frame. just needs bar tape.

A bike that old always needs more than just bar tape. It needs an overhaul, consumables need replacing, and don’t be surprised if you discover some issues along the way. A pic with the rest of the parts would be helpful. How much does the seller want?

I saw an all Dura Ace equipped Vent Noir in excellent condition offered 2 years ago for $600 with no takers. Lovely looking bike.

Yours appears to have Campagnolo superleggeri pedals.

you should buy it at $100 and ask questions later

a shimano crane is a first gen dura ace rear derailleur. This bike is worth we’ll north of a $100

You got a good deal. Those rims look to be clinchers (they look like weinmann concave) not tubulars. Overhaul it, replace the consumables, and ride it. That's a great bike.

There aren't a lot of bikes out there that I'd like to own and ride at this point; this is one of them.

Very good deal on a very nice bike. I tested a large framed one out in 1982 and almost bought it even though it was a bit too big for me. I wanted one ever since and just picked one up in similar condition to yours for $500.

In my market, that's a $500 all day. The ano'd crankset shows little to no wear. Absolute steal.

$500 Canadian, right? Agreed though that $100 US is a very good deal on this bike. It's the OP's bike to do as he or she wishes but that bike could use an overhaul before it gets ridden much more.

I auctioned that same drivetrain in minty, take-off condition for $400 US, over 15 years ago. Gears, crank, brakes/levers and hubs. I kept the pedals which were MKS Unique Road which I suspect are the same as the OP's. Got $100 for those years later.

A bike is nearly always worth more a part out; sad but true.

Wow. That was a fantastic deal. At that price, the seller was most likely not a flipper.

He deals mostly in cheap big box store mountain bikes and kid bikes and is not on the internet, so he don't research any bikes. He also puts motors on bikes to sell. most of the time he has 30 to 40 bikes for sale.

Full Reynolds 531 hand-built and silver-brazed in Graz, Austria. One of those in my size is on my list; I have a 40-odd year history with its kissing cousin, a 1976 Puch Royal X. The whole series is seriously underrated.

I researched Austro-Daimler bikes after one popped up for sale in my area.
They were carefully made, hand detailed and equipped with the finest components.
I think, however, the cycling world was barely aware of them in their own time..
They had a showroom in Greenwich, CT where they were sold at absurd prices
to Wall Street "Greed is good" yuppies back in the day . The name had snob appeal
for when you pedaled into town to see your broker. That said, they are still decent bikes.

$100 is very good price for this bike I would say it's worth about $200-250 as is. It will still likely need full service and some new consumables as said but is a great buy as a keeper and in flipping range if you don't keep it.

Duuuuuude you struck gold.. I have a kind of heavy AD/Puch royal force and a slightly-too-large Inter 10 frame. That vent noir makes me drool

Ride that bike like you stole it - because you sorta-kinda did. In a completely legit, arm's-length transaction sort of way, of course.
