What can you get for around $2k for full suspension?
I've been shopping older FS bikes and trying to find something with 29's, full suspension, and disc breaks under 25lb. This pretty much sets me back in the 2011-2013 range for searching...
I'm expecting the search to take a while but I was wondering what models to dig through.
Any ideas? I've found santa cruz ultralight, some specialized epic carbon, some trek superfly, but these seem a little harder to find around this price. There's gotta be others, right? Or should I look a different timeframe?
Thanks for any tips.

Under 25 lbs is a tall order for a dually - even when looking at vintage equipment
a ‘12 or so S Works Epic will get you there if you can find one. At theexpense of having a FS bike that rides like a modern hardtail, but will get you there on the scale

Maybe up your budget a bit or figure out what you are looking for in terms of your riding and such like that. A used bike could cost a lot more than you pay for it if the parts or worn out or it has other problems not noted or noticed by the previous owner assuming you are buying it from the owner and not stolen. Plus you could be dealing with older technology which isn't always terrible but in the case of suspension it is certainly getting a lot better and has been quite a bit better than older tech.
Generally these days you are looking in the $2400 for entry level FS bikes (and by entry level I don't mean bottom end though in some cases that pricepoint is the bottom for that particular model) but I would probably look in the 3k range or up to really cement things as awesome.

Unless you're riding around in flat circles, a newer bike with modern geo is worth giving up 5-7 pounds of weight. 10 year old geo was good for it's time, but a newer bike is a more fun all around bike.
At that price, I'd get a Vitus Mythique from CRC.
