Vintage KHS ZH2B Aero Comp Photoshoot.
Terrible conditions today to take pictures but I did it anyway. Doesn't really do the old bike justice. I will say that I'm pleasantly surprised at how this turned out. Picked it up because it looked so forlorn and abused. Didn't really plan to put so much into it, just wanted to clean it up, service it, and get 'er back out on the road.
I do like the silver and white in contrast with the bike's color.
This shows how that top tube was crimped at the junction.
Dura Ace 7400 goodness, had to replace pulleys but otherwise in good shape.
FD-7403 and the curved seat tube.
Still need to do one more polish of the seatpost
The stem turned out nice after I removed the logo's and gave it a proper polish
STI Shifters are in great shape. Actually had plastic film on the Dura Ace buttons still.
Another shot of the shifter
More shiny bits
Decided to use the "newer" 7400 series brakes.

I'm digging the stem
More top tube detail
The top tube here was crimped on the side at the head tube junction. This also shows the teardrop shape of the downtube
Bottom Bracket detail
Tribute to the designers
Fastback style seatstays
Used standard adapters
I just could not find a black ferrule to fit this, Good thing I'm not OCD.
More of those shaped tubes
Close up of the front half.

Front end
Cosmetic dust cap
Matching Bar Plug
More little details
This shows the taper on the stem.
These are not that light but I do like the look on the bike. I've got two other sets of wheels that may get used on this though.
The rear hub with a new SRAM cassette.

Yep, for sure! I've got a couple of small spots in the purple to touch up one more time, then a little clear over those spots and then look at frame protection.

Thanks, I agree.
It started as a gamble, I wasn't sure if the logo's would come off and if it would polish up.
Logo on both sides, a big one on front, and a brushed metal look vs shiny polished.
I need to find a rubber plug for the top hole or even better some kind of purple button plug. Hmmmmm.....
