Young again
When I was young:
--I looked forward to each birthday
--I was filled with inquisitiveness
--I had energy to do what I was excited about doing
As I got older:
--I feared each birthday
--I lost my zest for living
--I got more and more "tired" after a day's work
Now:
--I look forward to the future
--I am excited about living
--I am only "tired" in a very pleasant way
--I want to find out just how good life can get for me
I think cycling has a part to play in this. I am in better physical shape at 41 than I have ever experienced being. It's better than being, "young again!"

I've amounted to something.

I'm definitely not THAT stupid.
My successes are not defined by what I do, but by how I accomplish things with the people that count.

Extremely uplifting for me. I'm 32. And Im lookin' forward to the next 30 years of cycling!!! A friend of mine who is 64 is a ridin' buddy of mine and we have ridden many miles together and he is an inspiration for me. I count him as one of the many benefits of cycling.
If I'm as agile as he is when I'm 64 than I will be a happy camper indeed. No better phrase sums it up then this: " You don't stop cycling when you get old, you get old when you stop cycling."

I definitely have more self-confidence now than I used to. That is probably the result of riding hills. Apart from that I haven't changed much. As is apparent from my posts, I am pretty juvenile, and I NEVER want to grow up so there

Well, I'm only 17. I am super exicted about the 60-70-80 years of biking ahead of me!!!!

When I ride, I am ageless . . . carefree . . . like a kid again . . . Yes, it keeps us young, mentally and physically . . . I like that I feel 10 years younger since I started cycling . . .And, as annoying as they sometimes were at "twenty-something," it IS kind of neat to get cat calls and whistles at "forty-something" :blush: . . . I owe that to cycling too.

At age 48, I don't feel anything like I think a 48 should feel. I feel like I'm still in my younger 30s. And most people tell me I look far younger than my true age. A I attributed all of this to my bike riding
