Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's my point. Living in paradise means I have to put up with a bit of snow. Plus, the trainer is so much more economical.

I saw Empire Strikes back on a double date at a drive in. Saw Return of the Jedi on cable. That ends my interest in Star Wars. I'm not much of a fan of cinema these days since I don't like superhero or comic book movies.

I thought I lived in paradise. I'm still riding outdoors.

I'd pay to take my kid to a drive-in screening of ET - that'd be awesome. And, hell, with new movies pretty much on hold, now would be a great time to revisit some oldies. Because I haven't been to a drive-in in decades, I just checked and see what's going on in the area and see that they're all closed for the season. Sad!

All of the drive in theaters in my area are long gone. I hear there are a couple on the other side of L.A. We used to have a 4 screen drive in, 4 different movies.
My first drive in experience was 101 Dalmatians in about 1961. Fog came in and we couldn't see the screen and they gave us a raincheck but we never went back because my mother thought it was too much trouble.

2 hours z2... I have to stand every so often when on the trainer, just because. It would have been a solid line, but the vet called to reschedule Georgia-Mae's appointment. I didn't ask why they called on a Sunday. Weird.
Yep, HTFU it is.

I need the hard intervals, especially now that the weekday group rides are going to stop. Nothing really helps me except music and the Zwift visuals, pathetic as they are.

The first couple trainer rides this fall had me getting tingly enough to stand up for a beat or two, but it hasn't happened since. Not sure if I was sliding too far up the nose or what...

I actually had to adjust back to it myself, shocking for the trainer rat I was. Not tingly but definitely overall discomfort with the less motion and all, and a surprising issue with the mental side. All good now though.

DougRNS used his lawn mower bag attachment today to take care of his leaves. I don't rely on the wind for leaf removal.

Congrats are in order since your Steelers won again today.

I have no idea how that works but we have plenty of wind here and yet I have to deal with leaf removal for like two months.
