Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's a dreary 70F at 15:40 UTC.

Time to mow.

Some time in the 70s, my Dad started drinking Yuengling, so that's what I always had when visiting PA. They make a good lager, and their porter isn't bad, though not as nice as Sierra Nevada or Anchor.

I'll be heading out on the bike shortly, for the first time in a week. Looking forward to it.

I raked the pine straw from the East lawn. Then I cut the front lawn. All before 11 o'clock online/virtual church. Now I have to get a ride in.

Rethinking riding today. It's not the cold, because I have plenty of stuff to bundle up in. It's the wind.

It appears to be a pecan farm that now also (maybe mostly) does vacation rentals.

And it's funny - it started out partly cloudy, then shortly after I took this it got so windy and dark I wasn't sad about turning back early because it seemed about to rain. Then it cleared up again while I was heading home.

I have two in my front yard that I want gone, The roots have caused walk way to lift up and become a tripping hazard. I’m also constantly picking up pine straw.

Note: I don't mind pine straw. I use it to cover the steep hill to prevent rampant weed growth. DSFDF
