Addiction 2021.3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was living in an apartment with my girlfriend and 2 other roommates in 1972 when it came out. It was a small building, like 8 units, and a guy in another unit told us about the show and we would go to his place to watch it and sample his herbs. I was 18, she was 21 and had the I.D. to get the beer.

Well, maybe some crows do that in the wild, but the incidents I see are nothing of the sort. The crows are minding their own business, waddling on the lawn, sitting on the roof, flying in the open. The cats were walking down the driveway, or around the house. No nests anywhere nearby. Attackers gonna attack.

I'm quasi-light and fully weak. Expect at least 5,000 miles from a good tyre.

I spent $100 in the shop of a man who did me a great service two years ago. He did me a great service again by pointing out that one front brake pad was not fully on the rim. This bike really would do better with 27" wheels. I left, and did a little shopping, and the rear tire blew out while parked. Tube and tire. Brand new Vittoria Open Pave. This is how I wear out tires. I sat down and pulled out the new tube I'd just bought. Shrader valve. I was a couple blocks from my daughter's house, and walked over to make the call of shame. Two new gatorskins incoming and three new tubes. The second hundred dollars.Supposed to arrive Saturday.

Kung Fu ran 1972-75. Fun Fact: Phil Ahn, who played Master Kan on the show, had a Cantonese restaurant near here back then. We used to go there and I thought it was the best Chinese food I'd ever had.

Sad. And therein is why we can't have palms in the quasi-north.

Are they pro 4s by chance? How is your flat per ride ratio on them? I had a set of the Endurance version but got multiple flats on several rides. I gave up on them. They showed a lot of promise ride wise.
