Your 2017 Clyde Ride(s)
So what are you starting out 2017 riding?
Whats your next bike?
I have had a few over the last year but I am still on my AWOL Comp starting off the year.

My giant FCR 1 was stolen last year..that bike fit me perfectly. Took me over a year but just recently found another one, I will ride it till it falls apart.
On the mountain its a Yeti sb95, its a much better bike then I am a rider so no plans to upgrade until I outgrow it which I doubt will happen.
I am toying with the idea finding an old steel frame work project to build up as a second to the FCR..we shall see....

Nice Rides
I am leaning towards this bike, not sure if there is a better steel option out there in the price range.

I sold a few bikes in 2016. This is still my main road bike (Black Mountain Cycles road build) from last Saturday's ride:

This one is a new build that Mike at Black Mountain Cycles built up for me that is shipping out today. My new gravel/touring bike:

After going through a lot of bikes, I've found I really like Mike Varley/Black Mountain Cycles approach. So I've pared it down to these two bikes from him and I don't plan on buying any bikes after this.
Apart from my weekly rides, I only have a couple of Texas Hill Country tours planned so far and one ride up the coast of Maine in September.

Such a timely topic. I am currently on a 2013 Masi Premiare PC3 on my trainer and a 2016 Framed Wolftrax for the snow. With that being said a Lynskey Sportive may be in my future, the spousal unit approved as long as I am not leaving her in the dust. I said I was not replacing the engine, just the chassis, I'll still be slow. She's got me beat on our Strava segments, I'm trying to keep up with her. That and I want titanium, I hear so many good things about the ride and the longevity of it.

I am still riding my Bianchi Imola. It's a 2009 model that I bought during the end of season clearance. I've swapped wheelset, seat, etc. and had a professional fit done season before last and it's the most dialed that I've ever had it. The frame still has plenty of miles on it, and I've toyed with the idea of replacing the 9-speed triple Tiagra with a modern 105 or Ultegra setup. But the 9-speed still works just fine and will probably get me through the 2017 season.
I'm out of wall space in the garage (I actually hang the Bianchi from the handlebars of my brush mower, hah), so if (when) I eventually upgrade I'll have to consider what I sell. Not quite there yet.
As far as rides - I always meant to do the Goat Ride in Southern Indiana but never got around to it. Just saw it's been cancelled this year. Thought about doing Tour de Cure Indy again, but it's moved to October on a weekend we already have an out of state commitment. There's a metric century route on Labor Day I've always meant to do, so maybe this is the year for that.

New Ride
Got this just before New Years.... Yeah!
Weather has been crap.... Boo!
Don't mind riding in the cold, but snow and ice are a no-go.
First few rides were great. Comfortable bike that seems to be perfect for me and where I ride.

Starting with my Wabi Classic. Got my eye on one of these though. It's a Kona Roadhouse:

Plain Specialized roadie. Been riding it for years and have no plans to change. I keep my bikes running smoothly and really enjoy riding them. So no plans to change anything unless it is damaged beyond repair, frame, stolen, burned it a fire etc!

My main road bike is my Trek ALR. ,
I also have my Trek CrossRip which has become a dedicated commuter only so I decided to alter it to a flatbar 1x setup. I am surprised that it rides as nice as a flat bar as it did with drop bars.
I put on a mix of XT and SLX; Shifter, Cassette and Rotors (160's) are XT and brakes\RD is SLX. I got a slamming deal on a carbon bar, so what the hell, it now has a carbon bar. . I kept the Shimano 105 crank I was running on it, but changed it to a 42 tooth Wolf Tooth chain ring. Still gives me some capability to run some speed when needed as well as climb like a goat if needed, which in NE Florida, is never, but we have a few bridges and will come in handy when fully loaded . Kept my existing wheels with 32's Gatorskins on it. I have some flat pedals on order, should be here tomorrow.
As it sits in this picture, 22.6 lbs which is not bad.

My everyday ride is a Surly CC, I've also got a Novara Randonee tourer, a Specialized Allez and I've currently got a '86 Trek Elance hanging on a work stand in the house that I'm building up modern 9 speed triple that I intend to use this Randonuering season.

2013 Orbea Orca (60cm frame) with Deda bars (35mm diameter) and stem, Rolf Prima "Vigor RS OEM" wheels, 105 10 speed groupset with Ultegra chain and cassette, Selle Italia "Flite" saddle, and Maxxis Padrone 700x25mm tubeless tires.
Purchased the bike as the dealer's cost in January 2015 as it had just sat on the showroom floor.

Got a 2000 Klein Quantum off a friend recently. He upgraded to Ultegra. New to road, am an old school ex xc rider. OG (old guy). Really enjoying the concrete jungle!
Would post a pic but I guess I need 10 text posts first.

Currently I'm down to just my 2009 Trek 1.2.
Yes ... it's eight years old, which to me is hard to believe. Sounds odd but it's been one of the few constants in my life from the time I got it, so it means a lot to me, but more than that, I love the way it rides. Mostly stock but with Fulcrum Racing 7s on it.
I do have designs on a new bike, but it'll be as a reward for losing weight and getting back in shape. Not sure what I'm looking at, more than likely a road/endurance type of bike.

I was really really close to selling my Crosstrail and buying a gravel bike. Have since decided to do some updating on my Crosstrail and am most likely never going to sell it. It's my bike for life, but later in a few years may buy another bike as a N+1=myhappiness. Was afraid I bought too small of a size on Crosstrail, but after visiting a few shops and doing a few quick fittings, found that I did buy the right size bike, just need to make some more adjustments.
I've also decided rather than buying a new bike for when I reach my next weight loss goal, I'm going to take a bike trip from Pittsburgh to Cumberland MD as my reward on this Crosstrail instead.
Did put on a new Ritchey handlebar though to help with finger numbness, it goes with a better Ritchey stem I had on. Also got tired of cleaning gravel out of the cheap pully's on the rear derailleur and replaced these with some Lerways. Hoping these will be better on the trails. So far seems good.
