I have a 2005 Marin Argenta for the road and a 2007 Jamis Dakar XCR Comp for the dirt, but this one is my current favorite. 2014 Specialized Source Expert Disc, in his case set up for short tours.

The black 'Vega is my daily driver/medium tourer. The centurion is my road tour; the Giant
is the back country tour bike. Recent mods : pedal extenders all around. The 'vega just
got a 42/34/24 chainring(32/12 cassette). Surprisingly, didn't really lose any speed, just had
more leverage at a higher cadence. turned out to be just ideal for cruising 12/14 mph fully
loaded.(at least if your my age,67.) The old centurion is really fast though it doesn't look it.
The bar bag also serves as a great fairing for reducing wind resistance.

Yes! But mine is a P6R and my travelling companion's got a M6R. Easier for travel than my big diamond frame Arvon1 tourer. We will be taking it into various pubs this summer while travelling in eastern Canada (NS and PEI) and in the UK/France.

After 30 years on the smokes finally managed to give them the flick. Wanting to increase my fitness started walking but found it playing absolute havoc with me knees. A blood disorder means I've got minimal synovial fluid so walking, especially down hill, was killing them.
Started researching bikes and ended up with:
I call this my gateway bike . Not only 'cause it got me riding but also got my cycle related Acquisition Disorder started When I first started couldn't go 2km without feeling my age. This rode trails and roads and got my fitness up to a better level over a year.
Decided I wanted to try a dropbar so found this on our local market:
Cyclocross was perfect for my needs as there's lots of trails around where I live. Little was I to know that Ridley bikes have a strange geometry so the 52 was really the equivalent of about a 56, but only in height not reach. Put about 2000 kms on it and then after being told all the time the frame was too big decided to go and look for a new "right sized" cyclocross.
Look for months and months for a replacement CX then walked into one of my LBS one day and walked out with:
Carbon 105 endurance bike by New Zealand Avanti. Had to sell the Ridley to fund it but only lost bout $50 and the DS does all my trail duty now and has recently had 29er 2.1' tires put on it to get it more comfortable for even rougher stuff.
51 and healthier than I've been since the early 80s!

Hey, 56 yo with my latest Frakenbike, the Pinapegomount. I acquired a Pinarello Dynalite with a trashed paint job, then I discovered Pegoretti's paint jobs. I cant afford a Pegoretti, so I decided to make one. The bike needed a fork and I came across a Paramount one. The Bob Dylan reference is for you really older riders and Stooges for the non conformists. So here you go Pina-pego-mount:

I ride a few different bikes but my salsa casseroll is the bike I mainly work out on. I built the bike up 2 years ago but it's quite a bit older than that. Oddly I still haven't cut the stem down yet and I need to decide whether I'm going with brifters and 2 x 9 or keep the bar ends and go with a shimano road triple, 3 x 9. I prefer a double but a 50/39/30 will give me smoother shifts.

New member here. Just got back into riding after absence of around 20 years. I'm 57 and a runner, bought the bike for xtraining and to be outside. I'm liking the classic steel bikes shown in this forum. Makes me wish I still had my Benotto. But, I do like having a modern bike and enjoy the way it rides and shifts.
