Early morning ride around the neighborhood. Scenes like this:

... and this:

Somebody is going to get some sweet chairs for free! Wished I had a trailer...

Found the perfect background against which to shoot any future CL sales:

It was a great find at the antique store... $33.00 is a good price for a vintage lantern in this condition. I have a 1964 version of this same lantern that came from the farm and we use it on the deck, and keep it ready as an emergency light.

I also have a growing collection of Coleman and other gas stoves, this (Model 530) was made in 1946 and fired up with nothing more than fuel although I have since replaced the pump leather and cap seal on principle.

This stove is really hard to find in Canada and they have not been made for 65 years... but are still fully serviceable.

Here are five from my ride last night. Just can't stay away from that Mighty Mississippi.

I love the play of shadows on the docks.

Shot this one while waiting for the next one...

I've been stalking this boat up and down the river for months now, but could never quite get the shot I wanted until I waited for it to come to me.

Worth the wait? Oh yeah...

Taken on my morning bike commute. Lake Michigan. A little bit of cloud cover goes a long way to make a picture a bit more dramatic. Only problem is it makes me want to hang out and be late for work!

I'm going to guess this is sunrise, rather than sunset. The atmosphere has that early morning freshness about it that you don't often get at dusk.

Hiya DQ, this was taken a couple of nights ago so about 45min before sunset or so if i remember correctly (just went for a dip to cool down as was a hot/sticky evening). Have to take out my cam instead of using the kids point & shoot, maybe next time. And mother nature rocks

I wish, but we were bikeless there. I've never seen so many public dirt roads. And the dust clouds that the cars kick up are amazing. So are the speeds people use on these roads.

We got back to Denver, and I rented three bikes on spinlister.com which is like airbnb for bikes. It was a lot of logistical trouble, but it was fun. I couldn't find a shop that rented!
