One point should be made clear. I'm not sure this thread is the place but I'll start here. The issue at stake is not a rocket (or s'not a rocket). It's a projectile or shot. (Rockets are self propelled. Shots are propelled by an explosive force usually restrained by a tube (in this case, our nostril).
So, snot shots, not snot rockets.

Just as an aside.
I take Benadryl at night and a Claritin in the AM and this keeps me dry and discharge free.
YMMV

Old enough to be your father. Since I was not married to your mother at the time that makes you a…………………………………..very fortunate son.
Sorry, don’t go for the insult bait. Try again, but put some thought into it.

In a thread which has produced many different opinions, I think you may have managed to create unanimity with this post.

What if someone does this and winds up spraying everyone around them with blood, because they induced a nose bleed?
Then you have even more of a bio-hazard.

Reminds me of a time when I had a spontaneous nose bleed just before a mile long 8% climb. My heart was pumping so hard there was no way i could stop the bleed. By the time I got to the top there was blood everywhere. Looked like someone punched me in the nose and it was on my jersey, shorts and bike. When I got home my wife wanted to know what the other guy looked like after she finished freaking out.

Yikes. I would have stopped and waited for the sealant to work.

You have any better ideas? Coughing, sneezing, spitting, blowing one's nose while continuing to ride is never going to be as easy or sanitary as at home. Tell us what we should do.

You believe that blowing your nose into your hand is more sanitary than blowing a snot rocket onto the road? Really?

What if you go into space and the Alien sticks to your face, and then bursts out of your chest during a group ride? Then you have an even bigger threat to the continuing existence of the human species.

Sleeves. At least that way it gets confined to the garment. You lost everyone when you talked about gunking up your hands and bars.

I wait until I'm in a dumpster looking for Vodka before I launch a snot rocket. Of course, I wait until I'm done with my search -- it would be disgusting to do it when I first get in the dumpster.

Or you could simply adhere to basic social conventions that suggest not relieving yourself in public.

are Snot Spots still made? I think I have one in my box of climbing gear. Very handy for drippy noses in winter. My riding gloves usually don't have a large enough area.
