Univega VivaTech 1050 with 105 components and biopace crank. Bought new in 1987 (?). I have taken to riding it again after a 30yr hiatus and I am in love all over.

Thank you! It's a big change from my previous bike in terms of geometries - I'm getting used to it slowly. One thing's for sure, it's faster & effortless as compared to the Defy.

Hey All,

I just restored a 1984 Motobécane Mirage Sport; the puppy took all of 6 weeks of wonderful torture as it came together piece by piece. BTW, the worst part of the rebuild was the Regina Corsa 6 cog cassette - I replaced all the 3mm ball bearings and after 6 tries she went together without spitting ball bearings over the floor.

How does it ride?
Looks like steer seat angle and slack head angle, maybe because the rear wheel is elevated from the stand?

It's different compared to my other two main road bikes since they're 54's and this is a 52. 54 is the top of my range.
I love the way it handles.
Yeah the stand,the grass, and who knows how level the ground is. lol

Drove about 5 hours to Vancouver BC after 2 months of coordinating with the buyer (he had to drive 5+ hours to Vancouver as well) to get this Pacer. Replaced the stem and bars with some decent Ritchey components that I found used, as well as the seatpost with a Thompson that I snagged for $40. Also swapped out the brakes with a set of Ultegra 6800 caliper brakes that I found at a bike co-op (pricey but worth). Threw on my Brooks as well. Everything else is 90s Campagnolo Veloce, that functions pretty well after replacing cables + housing. The intention was to build up a semi-fast bike for commuting that could handle rain. Really fun bike! Took it on a semi-rainy century yesterday that had a good gravel stretch and everything held together quite well. Hopefully the first of many adventures on this rig

i have a 2005 trek 1200 which my friend gave away to me about 3 years ago for free. haven't ridden it in a while.

it just feels like the bike is too big for me. the top tube touches my crotch with barely enough space in between. so thinking of selling it and getting what i can to buy a used one on CL or FB marketplace that fits better

I have had this bicycle for about three years and am finally getting around to posting. Story on how I got it: A friend of mine and I were at a bicycle store as he needed to pick something up. Found out that the store was closing its retail business and this bicycle was sitting there, calling for me. My size too. I commented that it looks great, however I just can't make this happen.

Behind my back, my lovely wife and friend bought the bicycle as a surprise for me. It came with a fitting service - the store owner and his wife came to my friend's house and spent a good 90 minutes setting me up on my friend's stationary trainer.

I really enjoy the bike ,which I believe to be a Pedal Force RS2. Complete 105.

I have a great life long friend and an amazing wife.

It's made from aluminum with a carbon rear triangle and carbon fork. I upgraded the seat and seatpost to save about a pound, and the brakes are now Dura Ace 7800 (not shown). Nothing special but I love it and ride it all the time and keep up with guys half my age on bikes that cost twenty times as much.

Whatever happened to mixed frames like that anyway? I remember they were really common about ten years back...

This model came and went in one year, so I assume they didn't sell well, even though I personally think it's a great idea. You get the stiffness and durability of aluminum in the main triangle for power transfer and the road dampening of carbon in the bits holding the wheels.

The Prova Speciale built near me in South Australia recently got a feature in GCNs Boutique brands video. They make a steel frame with lugged carbon seat post and fork. Looks amazing
