So I was trying to explain it to her tonight. So I order the power meter and she’s like that’s it, you don’t need anything else for your bikes right?
Well, what happens when you buy a lower tier bike you have to put money into it where as the madone doesn’t need anything.
She rolled her eyes.
As soon as this guy comes pick up this surf board i’m ordering the easton carbon bars……..
I am suppose to upgrade her engagement ring this year. Cost will include the cycle cross bike…..

My ex and I used to take turns getting new bikes. I should have known something was up when she went out of turn and bought herself a new Juliana mountain bike.

Long story short, they were out of stock on the red roll cab that insurance was replacing, so I ordered the burgundy (cranberry) top and bottom. So, instead of a new box on top of an oldie, I got a new top and bottom. My friend paid the 500 deductible for the old one, which my boss sold to him for that, and I delivered it to him. We met halfway, as he lived outside of Tuscon, in a place called Sierra Vista, and is shop foreman for all the gassers in that huge copper mine. He did a timing chain on a 22RE 4 banger in a Yota truck in trade for the bodywork on the old box. It looked like brand new.
Later I bought a locker that houses a cart, which was perfect for my 5 gas.

It is. Funny story, in a wacky sort of way. I had a normal red bottom box that I had traded my way up to. My first box was a Mac top and bottom that was maybe as tall as that bottom, and that was new. All my subsequent boxes were used that I traded up for. Then came the bottom red box, that was new. It just took 20 + years to get there. I outgrew it, so I ordered a red top, just the center width. I then traded that one for the full length. A week before it was delivered, I was off that Friday, and someone was using my bay. They did pads on a Saturn, and the service writer took it out of the bay for some reason. He threw it in reverse, backed up and the pedal (peddle) went to the floor. He threw it in drive, and used my bottom box to stop.

In 1978 I bought a Waterloo bottom box for $100 from the parts store. I was a partner in a garage and my partner didn't want me to spend the money. I still have it.

Track bike is now just a frame set, my 81 Trek is going to be sold next week, and my MTB will be replaced next week as well.
After all of that and adding this bike I'll have 3 riders, 2 framesets, and the wife's bike.
That's just the right amount at the moment.

oof, i wish this flu was over. day five and I'm only a bit better. it's like been hit by a semi truck. i'm not sure what is more annoying the constant muscle aches in my shoulder and back or very sore and constricted throat that makes swallowing anything even tepid water hard. I'd be sure it was the rona except all the self administered RATs have come back negative. Time to call my doctor tomorrow and see if they want to come get a PCR test.
my achievements for the weekend were: getting dressed, luxing the lounge floor and doing a 900m walk around the block. the last two absolutely knackered me out.
