Looking for a particular accessory

I just did a short tour and a fellow cyclist had an interesting accessory. He called it "The Knob". It was a short (+/- 4") stubby thing that attached to his head tube to which he mounted his light. The light was then below his very large bar bag and worked well. I have seen similar things, but they screw into busses on the fork which I would think can interfere with front panniers. I have something that attaches to the handlebar and provides attachment points six inches above the bar, but I'm trying to save space on the handlebar.

I know; I should have asked where he got it. I've searched the web and found nothing. Is anyone familiar with "The Knob" or something similar.

Thank you.

To be clear, this is something attached to the head tube and not attached to the fork? Thus the light would not turn to the side when you turn your handlebars?

Have not seen anything like that.

Over the years I have seen things like that attached to fork crowns.

That said, forks that have no hole in the right place for a light mount are becoming more common.

We recently moved our warehouse.
Stuff is a bit disorganized, but will let you know when it surfaces.
