Need Help Shimano FC-2403 Claris Octalink Crankset
While fixing the front derailleur cable I noticed worn teeth on the 3x8 Shimano Claris FC-2403 crankset. This is the original crankset when I purchased my road bike in 2018. I now have close to 10,000 miles on the bike. Thought it would be no "big deal" to purchase a new FC-2403 as I've been able to easily locate other parts when needed.
Not this time...
Seems no one has the FC-2403. I do find the FC-R2030 with the correct T for each chainring. However, checking the Shimano compatibility chart I see the FC-2403 uses a different bottom bracket than the RC-R2030. The FC-2403 originally used Octalink BB-ES25, whereas, according to the Shimano compatibility chart, the FC-R2030 uses several other BB, but not the BB-ES300 or BB-ES25 unless I am misunderstanding the chart.
Does anyone know if the RC-R2030 crankset will work with the Octalink BB-ES25 or BB-ES300?
Why is the FC-2403 crankset no longer made?
Thanks.

Take this opportunity to move on from Octalink as Shimano has. The HT2 bottom bracket is inexpensive and much easier to live with. FC-R2030 and BB

Are you sure the current crank is really worn out? 10,000 miles is not a lot on a crank and you may be seeing intentionally "shaped" teeth intended to aid shifting. I have two FC-5703 triple cranks with over 40,000 miles on each and they are still in fine condition so, unless your crank has been ridden in very abusive conditions, it may be good for many more miles.

+1 10,000 miles is very little to wear out chainrings. I used to ride my commuter bike about 9000 km per year and it took many years to wear out chainrings

Maybe the front crankset isn't actually worn out? Cranksets don't "wear out" from chain stretch same as rear cassette?

It seems you are in over your head. I suggest you do more reading about bottom brackets or better yet take it to a shop. Especially if there is a chance you don't even need a new crank.

For reference, here is a high-res picture of a new one. Note that some of the teeth are shorter than the rest, and many are specially-shaped to aid shifting:
