Thanks.

What's a SDD SpeedPro, and how does it differ from a regular SDD? Cheers.

I like the pull chain Sachs for my MTB application because it's less exposed and a neater arrangement..

2005 Dahon SpeedPro .. came stock with a SRAM 28h Dual Drive laced to a Kinetix Pro rim.. Pantour suspension hub up front (loved or hated depending on who you talk to) .. chromoly frame .. Schwalbe Stelvio tires .. custom metallic mango color .. I still enjoy the bike..

I'm curious: Why is it a good thing for a "small wheel" bike to have its direct drive gear as the first gear instead of somewhere in the middle?

You DO KNOW this person hasn't been here in the forums in 2 years or so? Maybe it'll bring them back.

It doesn't matter, I didn't ask that person in particular. Everybody can play.

No sweat. It's just kinda quiet here nowadays, and only a few posts get any traffic.

Direct drive in first limits how low a gear you can get, if you want low gears, and the naturally lower gearing of smaller wheels helps offset that.
