I'd like to either buy a bike like this or recreate one. I like the upright posture. Single speed. Coaster brake. Non swept back handlebars. Flying Pigeon Black. Utilitarian and simple. I'd buy this one but it is too small. How can I buy it recreate

Here’s one example of a contemporary one:

Old bikes like that pop up often on facebook marketplace around here. Many times they ask more than I personally think the bike is worth, but to each their own.
If the asking price on this was around $45 dollars and my heart wanted it because it reminded me of one I may have had as a kid, I might bite. But $200 is way too much.

A Schwinn Speedster would work. Available as single speed or 3 speed.

You could buy a non-suspension mountain bike, get rid of the derailleur and brake set up and change the wheels to a coaster brake.

Probably easier with an old 3-speed as the rear hub spacing would be the same: 115mm vs 130 or 135mm for that mountain bike. I’ve bought cheap Chinese-made single-speed coaster brake hubs on eBay a couple of times. They do the job.

Yes, I am sure you are correct. It was just an idea in case OP had one available and liked to tinker.

If you live in the 'Noog and are willing to travel to the southeast side of metro Atlanta, I can probably set you up with matching his and her Columbias of the same vintage. Black with black fenders and old-style bullet headlights (sorry, no pictures). They are at a 93-year-old widow who we look after, and if I let her know I've found a good home, she would be pleased.
