Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cant get much cheaper than that. Their clothing sales are pretty unbelievable.
I'll second this jersey-- I have a few (in black) and even on the hottest days they are the most comfortable jerseys I have for keeping you cool.

How's the fit? I wear a size small (15.5) for dress shirts. Would a Medium be too loose?

Extremely small I normally do large in LG I am 5'11" and around 178lbs but the large was super super tight as if going on some super race. Exchanged for Xl and while tight and body forming its much better. If you want super aero (at my body szie) go for L but its tight . Also check out their Castelli Body Paint Bibs you cant beat it at 100 bucks.

If you're buying kit's on the internet, I highly suggest measuring yourself or looking at the sizes of a current kit. It'll make life so much easier.

There's a 2016 Specialized Venge with Dura Ace di2 in size 52 for $8000 at Mike's Bikes in Palo Alto, CA. On their website, it's listed for $9,674.95 but if you go to the shop or call them, they'll tell you about the TDF sale for 25% off. I went in for test ride tonight but I wasn't thrilled. Perhaps someone here might want it.

According to HED, they're 1698g

https://hedcycling.com/jet/jet-plus-wheels/jet-6-plus

Lighter than my Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL. Might pickup a set....

Guess HED site is more accurate.. Or maybe under stated? Either way good stuff.

I was just looking around CL and saw this in the Phoenix, AZ area:

Used Tri Bike-Fuji Aloha-Size 56cm

Looked like a good deal to me. If i had 300 bucks, I would definitely look into it more.

If you buy through Steep and Cheap (same company as Comp Cyc and Backcountry) today you can take another 10% those:

HED Jet 6+ Carbon Road Wheelset - Clincher - Up to 70% Off | Steep and Cheap

Not bad.

Unfortunately, only the Campy set is for $899 on SAP. Shimano goes for $1135.99.

Sorry, I missed that. If you go click through Active Junky, you can get 6% from Comp Cyclist.

competitive cycling & backcountry are the same company. but usually backcountry will yield higher CB on active junky.

Yeah, I bought 15 and a cassette for my spare mtb wheels, so that softened the shipping blow a bit.

Steap & Cheap is also CC/Backcountry.

Seriously. I don't even remotely need one, but I'm damn close to pulling the trigger.

Me too. I'd want compact (even though right now I prefer triples) and 175 mm cranks. 2.5 mm is something I could deal with, so really my conditioning is the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger.
