Searching for my last piece, the LeTour GT300 R/d with no luck. Found an exact match today at a bike shop in the parts bin. The Shimano Titlist, luckily the person I bought the Paramount off of sent me the body of the original R/d, but he said it broke. Switched the bodies around and its good enough for me.

A better comparison is a good three piece suit bought "off the rack" vs. a bespoke suit fitted and sewn for you by your tailor.
Carlton production was an industrial process w/ a well defined product of idiosyncratic characteristics and quality.

The Internat'l was the product of a cycling culture & lineage that was designed as many British lightweights were for TT use w/ tubulars fitted on one weekend and with mudguards, clinchers & canvas seatbag for a weekend club pub tour the next.

A question to all, the Schwinn spec sheet lists the frame tubing for my 91 OS PDG Tange as triple butted. But the Tange decal has double butted written on it.

Official entry/roll call responder with my 1974 Paramount P15. March build date out of Racine, WI. 25" / 63.5cm frame. Restoration by myself after steerer replacement and a some 'invisible' alterations (by a fellow BF member). It was a 100% basket case when it came into my world. Satin black paint and Suntour Superbe (mostly first gen) components throughout. Went for a hot rod/rat rod/gasser look, letting the polished bits contrast and really shine. Campy for the original headset and derailleur cable guide, along with a modern cartridge BB. The bike rides like a Cadillac but is not sloppy. Great steering, light brake lever action, and it feels nice and tight when accelerating out of the saddle. Very happy going slow, too.

Lovely Paramount! Such an airy aesthetic about it--that silver and the tall frame (tall frames are fantastic!)--especially compared to mine. Are you running 700C's?

Trying to figure out more information on a bike that I was given by a neighbor. Can't figure out how to attach photos on this forum. Tried but they wouldn't go through.
Pretty sure the bike is a pre-1960 Paramount "666" is stamped on the bike twice. Wanted to talk with the "Scooper" fellow but this site won't let me send him a private message.
