Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm hoping to make it more than ten miles today, without catastrophic failure. I will take a different bike this time.

We're allowed only one person per car, unless transporting someone to the doctor, or hospital. We have a joint, socially distanced, birthday party scheduled a couple villages over. Four of us altogether, two with birthdays. I will ride plan to ride in one direction, at least. Down the same road with the Dr. Who line across it.
This could be the day. Phrantic gets the house and I successfully cross the line. Bampilot can't expect to win the first time, but I will wish him good fortune nonetheless.

Not sure if we are going to make an offer. Have to see it first. It has the lay out we want but it was used as a rental for the last 7 years so I’m not sure how I feel about that aspect.

Mine wasn’t and 16 years later, I still get collection letters addressed to the adopted daughter of the lady (“an angel” as everyone on our street tells us) that owned the house for years before we did.

Just an fyi.

Sure I do. I suck, but 20 mi. Is a good distance for me.

Agree completely about the need for goals, training, and competition, at least with oneself. Wife and I feel the same about sailing. It’s great to be out there, but we are always working on speed and confidence in tough conditions.

Just ask WhyFi

By now he could moonlight as a plumber or appliance repair tech if he ever wanted some cash for bike swag

It's warm now, but the first month+ of what used to be summer was frittered away by dumb coolness and who knows how long it will last? Not a proper season. #YearWithoutSummer

Not a guarantee. I can barely turn a screwdriver; all AG expects is for me to call the person who will (not coincidentally, that's what her dad does). My understanding is that there are other demographic groups like that.

I'm sure my Yankee farmer ancestors are turning over in their graves.

Temps have been down the past couple days. We are, however, in the hot zone, Covid wise. Who isn't?
