Most of my bikes are 8 and 9 speed, but I have one 6sp and one 10sp. Biggest difference between 6 and 10 is that I shift more on the 10.

Personally, I have 7,9,10, and 11-speed cassettes. I find I can shift into a more appropriate gear more often when I have a better selection of gears.

Age is not the only factor in determining to what generation a person identifies; shared values and experiences are far more important in this regard. You should re-explore the works of Chuck Underwood to learn more about this subject. OP expressed strong Boomer viewpoints, hence, OP is a Boomer. The birth year of OP is irrelevant.

Oh, and Mr. Ryda .... grats for keeping at it for so long. I may poke fun at you, but you have been doing your thing here and on to recumbents for a long time and I respect that.
Go on, bro ... . give those clouds a hard time.

LOL, get a load of this KAREN!
Can you even imagine being a grown-ass adult and being this "offended" by having your demographic identified? The horror!
And for the record, I know more about bicycles than you do. That's why I post helpful advice when I can. And when someone clogs up the board with asinine BS the way OP did, I give them an asinine reply that is every bit as helpful as their post. I'm just following the examples so many "more experienced" BF members have set. Maybe you should lurk more?

Passe, but I guess these will be around until the collective finds new ways to describe groups of people.
Ooh, whats a fun name for someone who uses overdone pop culture meme phrases?

I dont disagree that they can be applicable. They are overused at this point. The saturation point was exceeded long ago and I chuckle at those who use both too liberally now. At this point its gone meta, actually- laughing at someone who references something that is overused in their attempt to make fun of someone else for how they are thinking.

Gosh and here I thought lugs were invented so plumbers could blast together some bikes because decent welding didn’t exist yet.
