How To Find Value?

Hi everyone. I recently came in possession of a 1989 GT Freestyle Pro Tour. All original. Some scratches on the sticker. I have the serial number. However I am trying to find the value. Any suggestions? I searched the items sold on eBay but they are not exact to the year. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

Ebay is an auction site - if you put it up, whatever it sells for is its cash value. It wouldn't be worth much to me - even the great BMX bikes from back then aren't really up to snuff for modern tracks. There are some other people who spend silly amounts of money on old, bad bikes.

Value

People pay ridiculous amounts of money because what they had as a kid was freedom riding a BMX bike and they haven’t had one in a while and now have money to buy the bike they always wanted but the supply is down and demand is up. Simple economics and psychology
I would pay $2500 for a bike like op has.

And I would pay max $50 - it's not a very good bike by modern standards - and I'm not a carbon guy. But like I said, it's worth what someone is willing to pay. If you want to pay the dude $2500, make him an offer, and if he accepts it that's the value. If someone else would pay him more, then THAT's the value.

You can look at sold listings on eBay or bmxmuseum.
