Buy a decent derailleur and it will come with the correct size pulleys. You may have more significant issues to ponder.

If I'm loosing performance because of the size of my Jockey wheel, then I'm not good enough yet to determine that. And most certainly there are more things that will give me more benefits that I should worry about before that.

On a related topic - what adverse effect comes from a worn tension pulley? Obviously, a worn guide pulley does negatively affect shifting precision and speed. But I suspect that with the tension pulley, given it spins freely and there is no play in the bearing, there shouldn't be much difference up until it is worn near round.
Am I wrong in thinking this?

prefer the ones that are marked clearly for orientation, don't make noise, & don't harbor gunk. Not a fan of riveted in place ones either.

Kogel sells larger ones that fit the OEM cage on the newer Shimano "R" series of RD's. I think you can go up to 12/14 on the factory cage. Like $150 on sale.
I went that route as I'm a TT nut and a half watt is a half watt more than I can train more for. Bigger reason was to go "matchy matchy" on gold chain and gold pulleys. The half a watt is whatever.

Horsing around with aftermarket jockey wheels might not be a good idea. I don't know if they void warranties or not.

Most times, changing out derailleur pulleys is simply chasing after the wind. Replacing a worn or cracked one is fine, though.
