Bike is completely disassembled with the frame going through a clean and polish spa. Also having to hone the seat tube to get the 26.6 to slide...

easy choice would be black synthetic cork. Great on the hands. HB tape is a change out item, don’t sweat the right/wrong question too much. Main thing is to get it riding!

Yes, mostly on roads. It’s fine with the high volume Specialized tires which are made for 26 x 1 3/8 rims on hard gravel but I don’t have much of it here, sadly.

Its very stable and easily ridden...
