Depends on the bike. It looks flimsy, but should hold a light bike. If you lock the rear wheel in, doesn't really matter what happens to front wheel.

The proper way to fix a kickstand is to unscrew the bolt and throw the whole thing away. Then you have tons of other solid methods to prop your bike without extra headache.
