it’s definitely quieter. Not by a huge amount, but noticeable. My afternoon commutes from bass crack of Georgetown to Silver Spring (by way of beach, 16 and piney branch) went down by 5+ minutes, almost close to 10 minutes on occasion.
I will head west from Bethesda. I expect nothing but tradespeople and landscapers at mid day.
