Fortunately, the co-owner writes the checks and tells me we're fine. The utter joy that sailing her own boat brings her would make me want to do it even if we weren't. I love it too, but would be happy doing it with a little less speed and comfort.
Nice thing about mixed fleet boat racing is it's handicapped, so slow can win if it's rated well.
