To be sure, but getting parts is a royal pain. And finding a decent authorized repair service is likewise difficult. You know how I know.

Just had to get rid of some strange man who was outside the suite door for more than 5 min. knocking and trying to opened the locked door. He seems to have a speech impediment and/or some sort of odd accent and was dressed like he fell off the back of a turnip truck. Think a thinner version of Milton from "Office Space," big glasses and all.
He had a slip of paper and was pointing to some writing saying he wanted to meet with the person named on the paper, but there was no person named. The writing had one of our parent corp's name but our address. There was also some deed numbers. I was finally able to ascertain that he was interested in some property. I gave him the name of one of our real estate guys. Come on 4 o'clock.

Sometime in the future we may be forced to move into a flat apartment in a building not equipped with natural gas. Most large buildings aren’t, even in a town like Houston. And/or we may have to buy an apartment in New Orleans when my MIL is no longer there in order to keep up our visit schedule to stay tight with our childhood friends. Best substitute for gas flame cooking I can think of is induction. So one way or another we will likely be joining that club.

I got an office day because we didn't go camping. Watched over six hours of body worn camera and dash cam footage. Caught up on that.

About 15 minutes ago, I said to my wife, "Since it's not raining or snowing, I'm going to sneak out for a short ride while the girl is in preschool."
I prepped the bike and laid out the kit.
...and now we've got a wintry mix of rain and snow. With the wind, it looks pretty damn miserable. I'm still haven't ruled out a ride, though, 'cause I'm dumb like that.

Also, today is one of those damp days, early in the cold season, that just soaks in to my bones and makes me want to spend a few hundred bucks on base layers. I'll try to resist for a few days in the hopes that I'll acclimate.

Oh yeah - I rode. It cleared up enough for me to venture out, though I still got hit with some sleet and hammered by wind. Better than not going, though.

There's usually always something happening, unless it's dash and no one is in the car. I mine this stuff because people/cops say and do things that never get heard or are conveniently forgotten.

Do you miss seeing the flame as an indicator of heat level? Im assuming you have had some experience with gas stoves. I know the temperature response to the induction current is instantaneous like with a flame, but I still like seeing that flame height. It is good to know there is an electric alternative that is highly functional though.
