I was wondering why he didn't respond to my post on his FB page yesterday. I had a weird feeling. Now I feel kinda sick. Awful news.

You're right, It's not.
Then again, being well familiar with PCad's courageous voice and principled stance, would perhaps want someone to point out the ongoing idiocy of a news report of incidents like this stating "Police on scene say the unidentified bicyclist was wearing a helmet."

Sorry to hear about pcad. That’s not the way any one of us should go. Prayers go out to his family and friends.

out walking the earth
I was out hiking in the back country in upstate NY where I live when I posted this. I turned my phone on at the summit of a mountain to check texts from my wife and my phone blew up with calls and texts from some of our teammates. Didn't read through to see the news was already on here.
So it is

On a more cheerful note, today I had my wife's car detailed by a guy who came by Metro and bus with his stuff in a cart and did a meticulous job for 75 bucks (I gave him 80). We had a long conversation about current events and how to stay healthy in the heat. It was pleasant just to schmooze with a stranger for the first time in ages. Then wife put the cover I bought her for her birthday on the car. Yes, that's what she asked for. Our parking pad is under the power and FO lines to the house and birds **** all over her car.
