I don't think that I've ever had it. I don't think that I've ever had Panettone, either, but it seems more appealing, as far as fruity holiday baked goods go. Each of the last few years, I've seen Panettone in stores, and have briefly considered buying before letting my BF-honed hand-wringing back me out of the purchase; I wouldn't want a Sora-level baked good to forever cloud my judgement, but I don't know where to find the 105 or better. 
The one holiday baked good for which I pine is mincemeat pie. Back when I was a kid, the fruit processing company Dad worked for made real mincemeat, with actual minced meat in it, but nowadays all you can find is what USED TO be called "mock mincemeat". It's very much in the fruitcake/plum pudding flavor range, what with the rum and/or brandy that goes in it, plus all the raisins and such. We used to have them at Thanksgiving and Christmas at the least, and other times, too, since pie filling was damn near free from the company commissary.
It wasn't part of Mrs. GeneJockey's upbringing, though, so she doesn't like it much, and thus it wasn't part of The Boys' upbringing either. So that mincemeat pie I saw in the store on Christmas Eve did not go home with me.

You can find Italian Panettone - so at least Centaur-level - at some of your fancier grocery stores here. It's kinda like challah or brioche with candied fruits, but better than that sounds. The best is still a bit moist, or at least not dry.

I've never had high zoot panettone. I wonder if any of the fancy Italian ristorantes around here do 'em.
There's a Record level Italian joint not too far away, dunno if we have any Super Record places in town.

I was grossed out by mincemeat and fruitcake when I was very young and never tried either as an adult. I was a picky eater until I starved for most of a year when I was 18 or 19. After that most food tastes good to me. Except grapefruit.

Fruit cake is ok. occasionally. fruit mince pies are the de rigeur Christmas treat. It and lemon meringue pie are the only non-savoury pies that don't seem weird. When you all talk about pie I automatically think of meat pies, not fruit pies.

I’ve seen them made with meat or suet or something. Not my favorite treat by a long shot, but my father, being Eurotrash, liked it and we had it occasionally, store bought.

I may have figure out my Wahoo problem. Looks like the app is bad. You have to allow it to run in background or it will not function. Soon as I changed that permission, bam functionality!! I'll test it in a little while.
I was going to tell Wahoo about it. I went to thier website to leave them a message. Threres a bunch of complaints about it already. I guess this update went out on the 22nd and it screwed le pooch.
I did speak with the guy I got it from and he has even offered to come over and help me with it. I get the impression he's an honest guy. Refreshing.

I once rolled the front end of a similar piece of footwear,, under my foot which led to the most incredible set of stubbed toes you ever saw.. broken toe nails, exposed nail beds, torn skin, blood. Gruesome. Took months to grow out new toe nails.

Called the old job to order parts for my car and going there tomorrow to pick them up. Talking to parts guy and he told me everyone else in parts is out with covid. I called one of the mechanics and he said most of the other mechanics are also out with the 'vid. And two of the advisors. And I'm going there tomorrow.
