Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Super GPS Enhanced, since DC’d I believe. Battery life has got to be > 15 hrs and that’s with HR and power and displaying six parameters on the home screen. No issues connecting. Occasionally a little slow to acquire satellites, but only when I ride out of the garage at work, for some reason. Gets GPS and Glonass. Built-in thermometer and altimeter are way off, but that’s a minor complaint.

Had been planning for weeks to move my tires around and replace the front today, but the wear dimples are still clearly visible on the rear and I am just too cheap to take it off. Thing will definitely go > 8000 mi, barring catastrophic damage.

Ditto.

I could have gone out earlier but I was busy being warm inside my house

The Trek has fresh tape and bar-ends for the new year though

I've been advised that a few coats of amber shellac will get the tape closer to the saddle color.

It's like sitting on a hammock. You need the front and rear supports higher than where you sit so you don't slide away from your preferred position.

The leather is quite slippy as well so they end up with the nose up more than other saddles. Individual anatomy then dictates the final angle.

Generally I like the nose of all my saddles higher than a lot of people do as well.

My saddles - all 4 the same model - all have to be dead level. A degree off and I can feel it. But level, they're good for hours. But I also rotate my pelvis and keep my back straight, so the idea of a nose-up saddle feels like a junk-crusher.

Doesnt sound shabby at all. I was looking at one of these in the past and I can’t remember why I stopped. Thanks for the info.

I recently (last 3 months) changed my from level to a degree down. Makes the drops a lot more comfortable. Don’t have any issues with my bibs or shorts slipping, my tights do tend to slide down the seat.

I don't have the best form, that's for sure.

Maybe 2021 will be the year of core exercises.

My pelvic rotation isn't a matter of good form, it's a matter of inflexibilty. Even as a yute, I could never come close to touching my toes. Mid calf at best. So I can't sit with level hips and bend at the waist, I have to rotate.

Unfortunately there is no Chipotle or Cookout within a quarter mile of the Standin' on a Corner statues, just a Circle K, which for east coasters is like a 7-11 and a Church's Chicken which for east coasters is like a KFC. The Baptist Church should be perfectly recognizable to east coasters.
