Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just got back from getting my flu shot, in my left arm. Then they offered a pneumonia shot in the right. That one they suspect could give me trouble later on. Pain.
i asked about the mango mosquitoes, and the nurse was unfamiliar with them. She must be one of those who walks from the house into the garage, and vise versa.

Assuming all those still work, how long of a train could one create with the combined horsepower there?

I like me a few hills. There's this one to look forward to on the way home:

https://www.strava.com/segments/1679104

Ignore the bad GPS track, but the grade is 8%.

It's a little short, but I would hit it.

This is our third 20+ mph day in a row, not to mention terrible gusts, too. So, it was a shock when my wife suggested getting the tandem out for a 23 miler. We had to stop twice for her to stretch her back but she seemed in good spirits afterward or at least I didn't get scolded. I think that I'll take our CoMotion off the market for now.

UP 4003. It's been all B&W so far, so here's a nice color picture. Not sure of the date, but the photocredit is in the picture.

This was my ride from Saturday, long, wet day but it was fun. I guess I'm still a road cyclist.

I’m hoping to do this one on an out and back Saturday.

it’s not super steep, but Lake Desolation is pretty and the descent is fun.
