Our local courts have closed for out of custody criminal cases until April 20th. Only "public safety matters" and in custody cases are being heard. No jury trials until June and no civil cases until 2025.
I did attend my first WebEx court appearance this afternoon. It was a mess of people talking over each other.

Colorado schools will be next to close for the year. There will be a lot of time to watch Nick Foles highlights.
In other news, the pot shop across the street put up a sign only allowing one person in at a time. There's a line.

Got out for a few real miles. Roads were Sunday quiet and no one really tried to kill me. Love those new wheels and I'm glad I bought them in the good old days two weeks ago because I'm feeling a bit less "wealth effect" currently.
Oh, and if people around here are going catch this **** it's going to be from their kids, who are roaming the suburbs in packs.

I haven't driven by our one local recreational sale facility. From what I've seen it's typically at least a 20 person strong line all the time.

CBS was my "team" for awhile, until they merged with DNA. They are too fast for me to realistically ride with, but that's my shop and I'm friends with the core people there. Wish I could ride with them, they're good people.
The Velo is a bunch of roadie A holes, I have ridden with them but they are too aggro male for me. Officially though I'm friends with many of those folks.
Bike John's I've ridden with once or twice. This shop ride is probably the most compatible with my fitness/speed. But this shop has kind of jerked me around on bike mechanic service in the past, so not my favorite. Officially though I'm ok with them.
Pedaling Posse was my initial beginner group, if I were to do a group ride, this is who I'd do it with, I still have some pretty good friends in that group. But they don't really ride as a group, just a scrabble of people all going in the same direction at the same time. Tedious, its just endless regrouping.
However mostly for me group rides aren't that fun. My peers don't want to ride hard, if you do ride hard there's this slight attitude that you're showing off or being unsocial. Its endless zone 2-3 riding and not always how I want to ride. The racer types are just rides I can't hang with- I'm 100% slow twitch and cannot surge with the men, even when I'm fit. So I ride with the group until the pace picks up, then I TT solo off the back, then I ride through the regroup because I don't want to hold things up, then I TT off the front until the group catches and passes me, then I TT off the back. Lather rinse repeat, Somehow solo riding or just riding with a friend or a small handful or friends is more fun.

They're all sitting on the porch talking. The old and the young, talking about pot. They were just clapping for an older patient. Med shop only.

You know, a short range electromagnetic jamming device might be producible at a practical size to attach to a bike.
Of course, you would then have the friendly folks at the FCC to worry about instead of just oblivious headphone users, but think of the possibilities!

The snow is coming again, which will shelf the bike commuting. When the snow dries up, the stay at home order will shelf the bike commuting.

After the last two days' rides, I should probably make a "David Letterman Top Ten List" of hazards on the MUP:
10. Leaves/debris
9. Walkers in their own world
8. Cars not honoring the "stop for people on trail" rule at road crossings (of which there are many)
7. Little kids walking ahead of their parents and turning around to see where they are
6. Entire family of adults/kids on bikes, weaving all around
5. Kids on bikes, oblivious to what's around them
4. Kids on razor scooters
3. Runners with earmuff headphones who can't hear me yelling "rider coming through" and almost run into me
2. Recreational cyclists who randomly stop in middle of trail
1. "Serious" Tri-geeks zooming on the trail in the full aero position and buzzing everyone
I have learned to yell "CYCLIST COMING THROUGH" which I think makes more sense than "ON YOUR LEFT!" to most people. I also mentally note anytime I see a hazard, slow down, and choose an alternate evasive maneuver trajectory to use if needed. I wonder if I should get a bell for my trail bike.
What bell is best for bullhorn bars??

Soul.
There's a slightly better arrangement which is the one that became popular.
